What time do you start and finish working in my home?
I usually arrive at 9:00 am - I usually leave by 5:00 pm - I'm flexible and can arrive/leave on a time that better suits if needed.

​Do I need to be present in the home while the job is being carried out?
There is no need. Often customers will leave a key out for me if they're not present during the job. Your home will be safe and secure, I will always ensure the property is fully locked up before I leave each day.

How many painters will be in the household?
I almost always work alone, room to room with minimal disturbance around the property. A constant high standard of work throughout the home.

Where are you based and what areas do you serve?
I am based in Firhouse, living in Killakee.

I serve South Dublin residents, you will most likely find me working in areas such as;
Rathfarnham, Firhouse, Knocklyon, Ballycullen, Ballyroan, Ballyboden, Dundrum, Nutgrove, Tallaght, Terenure and Templeogue to name some

What would a typical job consist of, for example the re-decorating of an existing bedroom day inside a home?
The room will be cleared to prepare for painting, blinds and curtains taken down, furniture etc will be moved into the center of the room. The full room will be completely sheeted, covered & protected - heavy duty sheets protecting all flooring -  new one-time-use fresh plastic sheeting covering all other areas of the room. Small details such as light switches/sockets/door handles etc. will usually be taped up.
All parts of the room will be prepped for painting - filling/sanding/caulking/sealing over any areas of damage i.e cracking, holes, marks, water stains, mold etc. A high standard of prep work guarantees the greatest finished product.

I mainly use a sanding machine, which is a system directly connected to a vaccum, meaning little to no dust on the job!
Generally as standard, ceilings/walls will be given 2 coats of finishing paint (3 coats where required)

All cutting in lines will be neat and tidy, to a professional standard. Alot of the time I will use tape to get an extra crisp line in areas such as skirtings/achitraves etc
Woodwork/radiators will be undercoated where required and generally given 2 coats of whichever sheen finish is desired (Matt/Eggshell/Satin/Gloss)
The room will be fixed back. Clean & tidy, I never leave any mess behind.

Do you hand-paint or spray uPVC Doors?
Yes, I offer both options. It is important these areas are primed and finished correctly using the correct paints to ensure superior adhesion and longevity of finish.

What brand of materials will be used in my home?
​I choose to work with only the top brands of paints/materials. Some obvious ones would be Colourtrend, Dulux, Zinnser, Tec7,  just to name some. Others lesser known brands but of high spec would be Renner, Juno and Toupret.
The paint types/brands etc will be discussed and included in the price of the job before-hand. I will always use the best quality fillers, sealers, paints, tools etc

What types of finishes are there to paint?
There are many types of finishes with paint, they all differ in terms of interior, exterior, woodwork.

I will go through different types of finishes with each customer when on site during a quotation, pro/cons etc and which I recommend will suit for your specific project

Do you supply the paint and materials for the job?
I supply all paints and materials, I will include and outline these inside the quote as standard.

With some paints I will receive a small discount in certain paintshops - as standard this discount is always passed on to my customers and taken into consideration when quoting for each and every job

Do you spray paint households?
I roll and hand paint walls/ceilings etc, however I do offer spray painting services for fine finsh items such as kitchen units, cabinets, woodwork, trim, upvc etc.

I can complete this work on and off site - whichever is preferred!

If you are renovating your home or yet to move in to your home, I can apply a spray coar of white to prime all newly plastered areas before starting the job.
